What is your current obsession ? the twighlight books. I am to the fourth book now, the last one...What am i gonna do when i am done reading ???
Do you nap a lot ? once in awhile, especially when i am having my periods. It kills me.
Who was the last person you hugged ? my little hubby baby boy. We are very close and i spend a lot of time with him.
What's for dinner ? I don't know ?................chicken maybe ?
What was the last thing you bought ? African violets ...I love african violets !
What is your favorite moment of the day ? Now ! When i get back from work. It is still early morning and i love to surf the net and sipping my hot comforting coffee.
What is your favorite weather ? hot summer windy days. Even if it is not sunny, as long as it is hot and windy.
What is on your bedside table ? you know the answer !!! TWIGHLIGHT !!!!!!!!!

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished, anywhere in the world, where would it be ? A little cottage by the sea, Cape Cod maybe....Gosh i love this place. Or an old house with blue shutters in the south of France or Spain. Or maybe in a remote place in Tuscany. Sounds good too!
Favorite vacation spot ? Cape Cod, near south beach !!!! Wonderful !
Name the things you can't live without ? Fresh herbs, especially basil, pasta !!!! Chocolate, wine, my gardens, books, summer windy days , a good movie....and so on...Oh! And olives, gosh, almost forgot. I am crazy about olives, ALL kinds of them!!!
What is your favorite perennial flower ? Peonies...Love their plumpness and their heavenly intoxicating scent !
What is your favorite tea flavor ? Earl Grey
What would you like to get rid of ? My winter tire...not the ones on my car...ok, no comment...
If you could go anywhere in the next hour, where would you go ? Anywhere near the ocean !
What did you want to become as a child ? Oh, many things. A Pilot, a photographer, a cello player and especially a globe trotter.
What do you like better, emails or phone calls ? I am not much of a talker, so emails are nice.

What is your favorite ice cream ? A mix of coffee and chocolate with nuts in it !
What is your favorite song ? I have a lot, but i am currently listening to Matthew Good "bright end of nowhere " I listen to this song in my car as i go to work, full blast, again, again and again...Love this guy !

Good day everyone !

nostalgic memories of summer

August is running so quickly towards september and here in my Quebec country, we can already feel the changing of the season. I am up early, it is barely 7am, but i want to make the most of the last few days i have left before i return back to work. I feel a little nostalgic, summer went by in a flash. Today, the sun is shining and the sky is blue and pure, such a rarety in this year's rainy and stormy summer. In fact, i think the forecast was calling for some more rain today...Anyway, as i was saying, the weather is changing slowly, i smell it, i can see how the light is different. And at this early time of the morning, the dew is thick and the air is fresh. i had to keep my windows closed and decided i needed to put my oooh so soft knitted socks i made during my vacation. They are so comfy and they keep my little feet so warm. ( yes, i do have little feet, my hubby even tells me my toes look like jelly beans. ) In a few weeks i know i will have to start using the wood stove to warm the kitchen in the early chilly mornings. But that is a comfort thought. I like the smell of the wood burning and crackling and i feel content to just sit and knit near in the quietness of the early morning. Soon fall will unfurl her beautiful colors and it will be time for apple picking, and cooking comfort food and thinking of halloween. My fingers are already itching for some crafting ideas i want to make. As much as i love the fall season, summer remains my favorite time of the year. I have fond thoughts and fresh memories of my vacation in Cape Cod i spent with my family a few weeks ago. It was too short a stay, but it was wonderful ! We were lucky to find a quaint little cottage with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I just loved sitting outside after a long day at the beach and knit with one of my daughters as we would listen to the gentle sound of the waves and look at the long grass dancing in the wind. We spent most of our days going to South Beach near Chatham ( for those of you who know the area ) and to me, South Beach is a must see and one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen.

You can walk for miles and not see a soul except for a few curious seals who like to follow and observe you from a short distance. They come close enough for you to admire them, but they are a bit shy if you try to come too close. I love talking long walks, trying to find some treasures. I was hoping for some rare rare sea glass, but my hunt was not successful. Although i came back home with a nice collection of shells and pieces of driftwood. I just love how the wood turned a beautiful washed grey color. And my hubby even found 2 beautifully intact sand dollars ! That really made my day ! I am always amazed at those little wonders nature creates...I was born on the east coast of Canada and i always feel strong emotions each time we come to Cape Cod. I remember spending many summers at my grandmother's who lived in a little village by the sea.

Oh, these were the best times. Such fond memories resurfaced and i felt nostalgic. I would spend the rest of my life here, living in a tiny house by the sea. Oh well, as they say, good things always come to an end and after a memorable week, we had to head back home, our hearts filled with happy memories we can never forget.

More dolls at last !

For the past three weeks, i have been working almost day and night on new dolls to put up for sale on my etsy shop. I did not get much sleep, hardly 4 to 5 hours a night and i must admit that i begin to feel the exhaustion. Now, i have to try and find some spare time and post all of my new dolls in my shop which, i think is a long and tiring procedure. I am not exactly a computer "guru" and am a bit slow. I thought i would have enough free time this week to garden happily and knit contentedly, but time flies too rapidly and i only have 2 more days left to pack and leave for a week vacation to the beautiful Cape Cod area !!! Yes!! It has been at least 4 years since i last visited this gorgeous place and i can't wait to be there once again. I just long for walks onbeautiful South beach, i feel this childish impatient urge to find treasures the sea will offer me, i want to take naps under the umbrella and knit as i admire and listen to the sound of the waves. Our stay will be too short, one week is not enough, but i do hope to make the best of it ! In the meantime , before DEPARTURE DAY, i need to try and reorganize my shop, pack my suitcase and wait excitedly for THE DAY !!
