I can't say i have been lazy since my hubby went back to work. I finally finished painting the walls of my studio, i painted some ugly furniture to give them a new life, did some sewing and knitting for my shop and working on a swap i am sharing with a dear friend. I am almost done with this swap actually, ( i know Anna, i thought it would be ready way before today. But I am getting there ! ) I wish i were a little more organized and try to blog on a more regular basis.
But i promise i shall make every effort to improve my bad and lazy behavior...Now...I have to show you my new dolls and PLEASE, PLEASE !!! i need comments...LOTS !!! This is my first attempt at painting and i am aware i still have a long way to go before the results are satisfying. I know, i need time to gain experience, and confidence in my creativity. So anyhow, any advices would be mostly welcome. This would make me happy and grateful...Many thanks...
I talked to my sweet daughter on the net yesterday. ( Oh, by the way, she is having a giveaway contest ) She lives and studies in Brussels, so luckily we have the net and a cam so we can talk, see each other and send kisses too. :) I took the opportunity to show her my dolls and asked for advices. She is such a talented artist. I wish she lived closer to me, she would make such a great teacher. I will be making more painted dolls, i have some ideas sprouting in my little head and i feel very fidgety and excited to start all of my projects.
These 2 dolls will be up for sale in my shop today, so if any of you reading this post are interested, you are most welcome to visit. My shop is a bit out of date and neglected, but i will be adding some more new stuff by the end of next week.
I know i should have taken most of the winter to create new stuff, but i have been mostly buzy cleaning up and painting rooms since we moved in october. I don't know if it is because of spring coming, but now i have this burst of energy and i want to make tons of things, whether it be decorating the house or create with my hands. I bought 2 varieties of basil seeds and i cannot wait to start my seedlings inside. I intend to make a nice herb garden and basil is one, if not, my favorite of all. The snow is melting slowly, but steadily and i am confident that by April, we should see lots of grass and warmer weather. I started seeing some " new " birds, those we don't see during the cold months of winter. Oh ! By the way, those of you who had readmy post on this mistery about no birds coming to my feeder, well, they finally came ! Whew ! I feel better now. I was getting anxious that they did not like my birdfeeder. I have been doing some research on the web to see which plants and bushes will attract them . I will go to the nursery as soon as i can start playing in the dirt. Creating new bedflowers and gardens will be so much fun...
Well, well, time is flying rapidly. I have a really busy schedule today, so i will leave you here, hoping to come back soon with more exciting news...Ha, ha, ha !!! I still have work to do to improve the look of my studio, but soon i will be taking pictures to show you my little paradise.
***Be good my sweets***
